Would you like to be able to quilt an entire quilt on your domestic machine with a basic meander pattern? The Winding Ways template used with a Ruler Foot makes this so do-able and looks so beautiful when it is completed! And it's fast once you learn how to use it! We'll go over how to use the template, including ways to offset the template so the quilted pattern looks more organic - AND what to do when you have more template than fabric at the end of a row. You're going to LOVE working with this template and what you can do with it! Prerequisite: Beginning Ruler Work class
Bring your handwork to this club. Anything that you can do with a needle and thread. Cross Stitch, Wool Projects, Hand Quilting and Binding and Embroidery.
Cynthia's is now the monthly meeting location for the American Sewing Guild local chapter. There are two groups that meet. The group encompasses all types of garment sewing and embellishments from coats, jackets, blouses, and pants to leisure wear and lingerie. We sponsor sew-alongs, focusing on a single project for three or four months during the year, interspersed with presentations on Zoom or in person by well-known sewists around the state demonstrating a variety of methods and techniques to help give our finished garments a professional look and fit. We are working on improving the sustainability of our craft by repurposing existing garments and fabrics with the intent of reducing land-fill waste. We do sewing for community service organizations throughout the year. The COGS group meets from 10 am until noon on the 2nd Friday of each month except July and December.
