SEW WHAT'S THAT STITCH FOR? - ACU-SPARK
Many of the high-end Janome machines (9450, 9480, M7, M8, CM17) are compatible with one of the
Janome phone apps (AcuSpark, AcuSpark2, AcuAssist).
HOWEVER, the owner of any machine that has a variety of stitches to choose from can benefit from
these Janome apps – especially the part of the app which shows how the stitch was designed to be
used, the kind of foot with which to make the stitch, the fabrics with which that stitch can be used,
and the settings for that stitch!
So these apps and this class can be helpful for anyone wanting to utilize some of those stitches –
and wanting the ability to look up the info on their phone instead of pulling out their manual!
The Beta class is scheduled for 2 hours. It may go a little longer – or a little shorter. We’ll see how
long it takes to cover what we plan to share.
PREREQUISITIES:
• Your machine does NOT have to be one of the listed Janome machines for you to benefit.
• Having a machine that offers a number of stitches and a number of feet.
(If you use a straight-stitch only machine – e.g. Juki TL machines, Janome HD machines,
Elna EF1, Brother ???), this class will not benefit you.)
SUPPLIES LIST:
(Do NOT bring your machine to class. You will be able to interact with a couple of the store
machines we will have set up in the classroom.)
• SmartPhone (iPhone, Android, or Google) – fully charged
• Downloaded AcuSpark2 app on your phone
(This MUST be done BEFORE you get to class, as it will be too time-consuming to spend
class time downloading the app. If you need help downloading the app from the Apple Store
or the Google Playstore, please seek help from a friend BEFORE coming to class.)
• DataPlan for your phone – OR you can connect to the classroom WiFi
• Pencil and paper for taking notes
