SEW . . . HOW DO I QUILT THIS?

So, you’ve taken the five Prerequisite classes, but now you want to have help applying what you’ve learned
to map out a plan for quilting your quilt!
Bring a fairly simple quilt to class – one on which you want to start trying out what you’ve learned. Using
techniques you have already learned in the prerequisite classes, we’ll look at your quilt and offer various
ideas and strategies for quilting it. If you’ve been using some of these quilting techniques already, your
ideas will also be welcomed as we look at and evaluate each quilt. EVERYONE will learn as ideas are
shared – which will give you knowledge for evaluating how to quilt your other FUTURE quilts!

I will have quilts I have quilted using these techniques – at the class – along with the names of the
templates I used. Bill will extend his customary 20% class day discount to any of these templates not
currently available through Cynthia’s – IF he can order them wholesale. This will save you on price AND
shipping! And, of course, that discount applies to anything Cynthia’s currently carries – except machines.
Each person may bring two quilts to the class to be evaluated and given suggestions on how to quilt them.
Class size is limited to 6, so we will have enough time to carefully evaluate each quilt.  

PREREQUISITES:
We’ll be using the techniques learned in the following classes:
• Beginning Ruler Work
• Ruler Work – Winding Ways & Ribbon Candy
• Ruler Work – Feather Borders
• Ruler Work – Everything’s Coming Up Daisies & Other Motifs
• Quilting Feet Basics
If you have not taken these classes but want to listen in as we discuss the quilts brought in by others, you
may. We will only be discussing the quilts of those who have taken the prerequisite classes. Same cost for
all.

SUPPLIES:
• A simple quilt (preferably throw size or smaller) that you wish to quilt on your domestic machine
• Pencil and paper for taking notes
• Camera for taking pictures of quilted sample quilts
