COLOR ME MANDELA

In this creative class, students will start by coloring their own unique mandala patterns using a provided template, so there’s no need to worry about drawing from scratch. Once finished, they will learn how to transform their designs into beautiful applique patterns. They will then use their newly created patterns to make a wall hanging, combining artistic expression with practical crafting skills. It’s a fun opportunity to explore design, color, and fabric art all in one session!

Bring your sewing machines and the supplies listed below and get ready for some fun and inspiration!!

Supplies:

Coloring pencils or crayons.

Sewing machine

Scissors for paper

Scissors for fabric

Basic sewing supplies

Applique pressing sheet

Iron

Solid color background fabric cotton or flannel: 40"x40" (Can be pieced if desired, and it's okay if it's bigger than this but try not to go smaller.)

Mandala Fabrics: cotton fabric. 6 coordinating colors. Main fabric needs to be 1 yard (or more), all others can be ½ yard cuts or larger.

One sided Fusible Web (or fusible interfacing) 3 yards min. (bring more if you have it)
